Tomoka Joe

The festive dinner at these stakes races was a huge success with impressive attendance of over 200 people. TABA sold out of tickets! Mats Genberg (Pres - Swedish Arabian Racing Assoc.) and his family thoroughly enjoyed Lone Star. TABA's Darla Ripley gave them a tour and Mats filmed it all including the filly race. He had scheduled his visit to Texas around these stakes races and joined in discussions at the board meeting. He assured us what we experience with our trials and tribulations in Arabian racing, are just about the same in Sweden. He urged us as a state organization to look into becoming members of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing. Their website is incredibly informative www.ifar.net Mats said that surely with Arabian horse racing as a global sport, the international community including the US should join together and try to open up better lines of communication and cooperation to grow our industry. He was certainly acting as an international ambassador for the sport at Lone Star.

Encouraging Growth of the Arabian Horse Industry.
