Dancers First Luv wins the Distaff Stakes

Eight fillies vied for the prize in the Arabian Distaff Stakes, a mile challenge worth $13,900. Once again Dancers First Luv took the stage in the winners circle. She won the Texas Arabian Oaks last month, and won an allowance race October 12th. Her win of the Distaff gave her three wins in less than 30 days.

In the Arabian Distaff Stakes, Dancers First Luv took the early lead but was challenged at the half. BJ Zell and Oh Suzanna rallied and the fillies charged head to head. Dancers First Luv responded with a surge and drew off in mid stretch, keeping to task to win by two lengths. Oh Suzanna's strong bid was impressive, but she settled for second. BJ Zell also did an outstanding job and took third place 10 lengths ahead of the other finishers.

Dancers First Luv is a 4 year old bay filly by Line Dancer and out of Wikings Luvbug. The filly was bred by Alma Jean Moore. Rick Knott was her jockey in this race. She is owned by Mark Powell and trained by Jerry Partin. The filly has has 12 starts, with earnings of $48,066.

Sandytiki, Viansa, Vibvilcca, Amazing Glory, and Blyth Milady Rose also ran in the Arabian Distaff Stakes.
