LACY CRAZY VAZ TAKES COLTS AND GELDINGS DIVISION OF
2009 MANDOLYNN HILL STALLION FUTURITY
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Saturday, Nov. 8, 2009) Lacy Crazy Vaz, owned by Sam Vasquez, and trained by Juan Ascencio, won the $20,000 Mandolynn Hill Stallion Futurity, for three-year-old Arabian colts and geldings, over a fast track at Lone Star Park on Saturday night.
With Gaspar Garcia in the irons, the bay son of Chndaka was able to overcome getting bumped at the start before cruising to a decisive two and a half length victory over race favorite Chinaactic, it was another two lengths behind to Raineman in third. The final time for the six-furlong distance was 1:20.42.
In Victory, Lacy Crazy Vaz earned his second win from three starts and increased his earning to $16,240.
Lacy Crazy Vaz paid $5.60, $3.60, $3.20, runner-up Chinaactic returned $2.40, $3.00, and Raineman paid $4.80 for show. Dacotah Dancer, Chriss SWA, Flyin Bob, and Cholly Roger SWA completed the order of finish.
